Charlotte Bobcats meet the SportChassis P2xl

What a night!  Let me catch everyone up on how this came about.  Back on the first of last month my good friend Joe and I drove down to Charlotte to attend a Microsoft seminar on their new CRM product along with the launch of Windows Vista and Office 2007.  While we were there we meet a super nice lady that worked for the Charlotte Bobcats team.  Long story short, we have a killer truck (SportChassis) that I thought would do well if we could get the truck in front of some NBA players…let them check the truck out and all.  So, she hooked us up and last night we made the game.  Bobcats vs. Heat…

We parked the SportChassis down in the garage area where the players pull in and park.  Here in Charlotte, NC… Beck Imports is the Mercedes dealer and part owner of the Bobcats.  What was nice is the players pull in, get out of their car, and the guys from Beck Imports valets the car…washes it and parks it.  Then after the game, Beck’s guys have their cars pulled up clean and ready when they come out.  What a way to go…ehh?

We had bought a Club 32 “trial” run if you will.  So after everyone was parked we made our way inside to the Club 32 private lounge.  A few plasma screens, open bar, and a catered dinner complete with prime rib, steamed vegetables, and more.  We ate dinner and grabbed a drink and made our way to our seats.

Good gosh…!  Two seconds in my seat taking everything in I looked to my left and there sat Pat Riley, alone, 2 seats down from me drawing out plays.  To me that was just about the coolest part of the night.  I mean come on… Pat Riley, the legend. Get outta here….

To our disappointment we learned earlier that Shaq’s grandfather has passed and he wasn’t in attendance for the game.  Besides sitting next to Pat, having Shaq standing in front of us would have topped the night off.  Being I may never have the courtside chance again…seeing Shaq play would have been killer.

We ended up showing the SportChassis to a few of the players which was cool within its self.  Maybe they’ll decide that having the biggest pickup truck on planet just can’t be passed up.  Size does matter…
