Lake Norman Poker Run
This weekend also brought a new opportunity for Trailers of the East Coast as we sponsored the first annual Lake Norman Poker Run. Many of these off shore power boats are pulled by SportChassis trucks which is a great testament to supurb towing capacity and manuvurability of the SportChassis.
For those not really familiar with what a Poker Run is… (as I wasn’t when I first heard of it) it is an event where in this case the boaters race to five different points on the lake. At each point the driver will receive a card in a sealed envelope. Once the run is complete the drivers then layout the cards and see who has the best hand. There were a few thousand dollars in prizes and cash awarded this weekend.
This community is full of great people. Everyone was very friendly and one of the neatest parts of the event was the Make a Wish Foundation was able to participate by inviting children to take a ride on these amazing race boats.
